About SupaBees

Signposts

Howdy. You’ve arrived at the About SupaBees page. People ask me about the image’s signpost: “What the heck just happened?”

Well, you know how you go about your daily business and then something totally out of the blue knocks you off your tracks? Well, oddly enough, those days seem to happen a bit too often for this old gal.

But hey, you deal with it.

I Have Had Umpteen Websites

I have created plenty of websites. Some are a success—most weren’t. But along the way, I’ve learned that I just love putting websites together; it’s like hunting for that perfect Christmas gift for your mum. It’s the thrill of the chase.

So, this SupaBees blog was born really out of wanting to create something new. Yeah, I hear ya, as if there aren’t enough blogs out there already!

But This One Is Different

How so?

I don’t care how many visitors it gets; I don’t care how much it costs ($12.95/yr!!! not bad!); I don’t care if it doesn’t make me a dime.

I’m Doing It Because I Just Love Doing It

Isn’t that what life is supposed to be about? Doing what you love doing? In fact, you know the old saying, “find a job you enjoy doing, and you won’t have to work a day in your life,” or something pretty close to that. I love old sayings. I come across many in my nightly-solving of Cryptograms puzzles.

Mental Break(down)

This blog gives me a mental break (before I have a mental breakdown). Keeping up with my ‘real’ sites that do need real attention—and lots and lots of work… is hard work! I’m not going to list the sites here; that’s the purpose of this blog for me—to get away from them for a while. But I’m still able to keep on creating stuff as a mental break. An escape.

  • For instance:
  • When what I should be doing isn’t working (or appealing to me at that moment).
  • When the water pump breaks down.
  • When the window pane gets cracked from an errant stone that flew out from under the mower blades.

You know, that kinda stuff that you need a break from that you deal with on an almost-daily basis.

That’s all from me. Hey, if you’ve anything to add to my posts, please do so. No profanity, etc. No hate stuff. All posts are monitored, so it’s not worth leaving something nasty, anyway. I don’t mind a difference of opinion, but when it turns hateful, then that doesn’t do anyone any good and that will ruin my day (and will cause me to post another blog post here!)

Sincerely,
SupaBees

PS—Why the name SupaBees? It’s a play on Beesley. My bro nicknamed me Beesley when I was about 16 years old. It stuck. However, when I do something “really good,” I get called SupaBees. Now you know.
