Cursory Headline Glances
But with all the stuff (aka ‘content’) out there to read, an ocean full of eyeballs is drowning. A few get caught by (cursory) headline glances — if you’re lucky.
In this day and age, if you’re not with the masses, politically, then you’re gonna keep your mouth shut so you don’t get ostracized. Where’s the freedom of speech, people? Stifled because you’re scared stiff to say anything in opposition. Therefore, it’s best to keep your interests to yourself.
Targetable Drinking Interests?
Anyway, back to advertising. One of my sites promotes getting well and quitting drinking. How many Facebookers are gonna put down, “I have a drinking problem” as one of their (targetable) interests? Zip. Nada. Zilch.
Having said that, I have to get the word out, and that’s why I’ve been doing the blog: A New Sober You blog. It’s gaining traction. Slow but sure. And slow and steady wins the race. I’m sure there are more annoying adages I could add but I’m drawing a blank.
