How are y’all doing today? Good? Great! Hey, I’m having a lot of fun with my teleprompter app. I also got a new iPad yesterday courtesy of Amazon overnight!
The reason for the new purchase was that a Teleprompter app for the smartphone that I use (a Samsung Galaxy Note 4), the only app available for Android was a continuous scrolling Teleprompter. It was only around five dollars. I had a lot of fun with it in the beginning. I soon discovered you could not put natural pauses in the sentence – as you had to keep up with it – come hell or high water!
Amazon Loves Me …
Don’t forget at this point I did have my Teleprompter which, yes again, was from Amazon. I’m sure Amazon loves me. So I did a bit more research online. In the Teleprompter’s literature, they suggested a Teleprompter called Promptsmart Pro, and was only $15. Sadly it was only for the Apple operating system.
Well, that was fine and dandy but I didn’t have an Apple computer and of course, the app was only available for that operating system. Well, I guess you can see where the story is going. Yes, I ended up with a new iPad!
And I Love Macs!
Honestly, I love new technology and getting new gadgets so it wasn’t that much of a mental stretch to fork out for a new iPad. After spending about an hour setting up the new gadget, I fumbled around and managed to download the app. Now please don’t think it was hard to install or anything … it was just that I’m pretty inept where Apple computers are concerned because I haven’t had one for two decades.
My career got started using the small Macintosh computer with one and a half gigs of RAM … which was considered amazing back then! Can you imagine working with just that amount of RAM now? No, didn’t think so.
To The Moon And Back
I read this a while back: did you know that the computing power we now have in our smartphones has more computing power than what the astronauts had on their first visit to the moon? Isn’t that mind-blowing?
Anyway just wanted to tell you about my excursion into the Teleprompter arena and how I will be going into more depth on how it can really jazz up your presentations and make you look much more professional.
